Spile, the Castle or Livadhi—where should I sleep in Himara?
Spile is for those who want everything on foot: the beach, the promenade, the restaurants and the bus. The Castle is quieter, with stone houses and the best view of the bay, but you need a car or a good climb to get up there. Livadhi has the long beach and the beach hotels, but the centre is a long walk or a short drive away. With children, Spile or Livadhi; as a couple without a car, Spile; with a car and for quiet, the Castle.
I am staying in Dhërmi or Jalë—will I find my hotel on this list?
The list takes the hotels whose profile places them in Himara, and it includes hotels in Dhërmi too. The coast is long: “Himara” on a profile can mean Spile, Livadhi or a village further north. Before booking, check the address and the map on the hotel's card, not just the town name.

Are Himara's hotels open outside the season?
The beach hotels and a share of the guesthouses work from spring to autumn and close in winter; in Spile some stay open all year. The ranking does not know which one is open today—for a trip between November and March, call before you set off. Out of season Himara is quiet and the coast road is empty, but not every restaurant around the hotel is working.
Without a car in Himara—how do I get around?
The Vlora–Saranda buses pass through Himara and stop in the centre; from Spile you reach the beach and the restaurants on foot. The hidden beaches of the coast and the villages up the hill need a car, a taxi or, in season, a boat from the beach. Without a car, pick a hotel in Spile or Livadhi and ask the hotel whether it will pick you up at the bus stop.
What should I ask a Himara hotel before booking?
Whether the room faces the sea or the coast road, which carries traffic until late in summer; whether the hotel has parking, because in August the spaces in Spile run out; how many stairs there are up to the room, especially at the Castle; and whether the overnight tax is included in the price. Ask for a fiscal receipt for every payment.
How much does a hotel night cost in Himara?
We do not publish prices: in Himara the same room costs differently in June, in August and in September, and a figure written here would be wrong before the season ended. Ask for the final price with the overnight tax and breakfast, and whether July and August come with a minimum stay. Every hotel's phone number is on its profile.
